Roof Mounted Sunglass Holder
Moulded into the centre of the upper dash is a cleverly concealed storage compartment - with a roof-mounted sunglasses holder to keep sunglasses and other small items safe and secure.

Enjoy the luxurious option of leather seating. The carefully contoured frame means you'll feel upright and secure behind the wheel - and less fatigued on longer trips.

- Seating flexibility
Whether carrying a carload of passengers or bulky cargo, the Grandis' seating configuration can be easily manipulated and rearranged. The second row bench seat has a 60:40 split and the third row seats have a 50:50 split - offering a range of versatile seating configurations. Front passengers can even lie back and enjoy the flat folding function. And the third row seats also flop entirely, so you can enjoy the view out of the rear of the vehicl when stationary.

- Door Cup and Bottle Holders
For added convenience, the Grandis features easy-access cup and bottle compartments in both the doors and centre console.

- Independent rear air-conditioning
Unlike many other large cars, the Grandis has secondary air-conditioning controls for rear passengers - so everyone can travel comfortably.

- Generous storage
The Grandis has storage compartments under the third row seats - meaning tools, valuable luggage and extra items can be kept secure and out of sight.

Safety

- Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE)
You'll feel safe knowing you're protected by the strong body created by the Mitsubishi Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) system. It means you and your passengers are protected by the latest energy-absorbing chassis design and technology. In the event of a collision, impact-absorbing crushable zones are designed to absorb and dissipate energy away from the passenger compartment, keeping you and your passengers cocooned and protected.

- Reversing sensors
The Grandis' Reversing Sensors will warn you if you're getting too close to an object behind you, and will also take the very last centimetre of guesswork out of parking or backing into a tight space.

- Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
With the Lancer's Anti-Lock Braking System, (ABS), your brakes don't lock when suddenly applied. ABS helps you retain complete control - improving overall safety and manageability.

- Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) works together with your Grandis' Anti-Lock Braking System to assess load, and distribute braking force between the front and rear wheels. This means that when carrying passengers in the rear, you stop in a shorter distance than with standard brakes.

- Brake assist
When carrying passengers or cargo in the rear, Brake Assist recognises emergency stopping situations within milliseconds, releasing pressurised brake fluid as soon as you depress the pedal - anabling more accurate stopping.

- Side and curtain airbags
Grandis comes standard with side (first row seats) and extended curtain airbags (first and second row seats) that protect occupants in the event of a side impact.

- 3-point ELR/ALR seatbelts
The Grandis' Emergency Locking Retractor Seatbelts (ELR) seatbelts connect in 3 places to provide better head and chest protection for the driver and front passenger. Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR) seatbelts also mean baby capsules can be fitted securely.

- Child-seat anchor points
The Grandis is equipped with several anchor points to help you conveniently and safely secure child seats and baby capsules. There are 3 anchor points in the second row, and 2 in the third row.

Performance

- Sports mode
In the Grandis, Sports Mode is engaged when the shift lever is moved sideways, giving you convenience of an automatic - or the performance of a slick, clutchless manual drive. When engaged, the transmission delivers a responsive, sporty and dynamic performance that allows for superior acceleration and overtaking.

- INVECS III 'Smart Logic' transmission
Enjoy effortless acceleration and a more predictable ride. The Grandis' INVECS III (Intelligent and Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System) improves performance by automatically switching between logic controls. An onboard computer learns and adapts to a driver's preferences by recording engine and foot braking data. The control logic then adapts the automatic gearshift timing to suit that driver's style, while minimising torque function fluctuation.

- MIVEC engine
The MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) engine technology uses a smart, lightweight timing mechanism to match engine performance to driving conditions. The Grandis' 2.4L MIVEC engine alters intake of fuel and expulsion of exhaust gases to suit requirements - meaning exceptional fuel economy and superb acceleration and handling. The MIVEC engine also lends higher torque at low speeds, and sustained power at higher revs.
