- Generous carrying capacity
You'll find it tough to outweigh the powerful towing and carrying capacity of the Triton. The Triton 4x4 has a huge 2,300kg towing capacity, and the Triton 4x2 boasts an 1,800kg capacity. This means that even with a full load, Triton 4x4 can still tow over two tonnes. Couple this with impressive power and torque and Triton makes light work of heavy loads. Towing the farm equipment, dirt bikes or boat has never been easier.

- Rear sports bar
A rear sports bar adds a tough element to the hard working Triton GLX-R.

- Lockable, hard tonneau cover
Unlike many other Utes, the Triton helps you keep your valuable equipment secure at all times - with a hard and lockable Tonneau cover on the GLX-R and GLS models.

- Rear privacy glass
Tinted glass at the rear of the Triton GLX-R and GLS provides added privacy, and helps keep your cargo out of sight.

- Rear power window
A large, tinted window in the rear of the cabin provides clear visibility - and in some vehicles, is even power-controlled for added convenience.

- Remote central locking
Remote Central locking - with keyless entry - means you needn't worry about locating your keys when your arms are full of equipment, or when you're in a hurry.

- Nudge bar
An alloy nudge bar adds a tough edge to the front of the Triton GLX-R.

- Fog lamps
Fog lamps at the front of the Triton VR, GLX-R and GLS improve visibility in tough driving conditions - and also add a touch of sportiness and sophistication to the exterior.

Interior

- Large and quiet cabin
The Triton easily carries five adults - with plenty of leg, shoulder and head room in both the front and back seats. There's also plenty of space for both the driver and passengers to get in and out.

- Multi-function display system
Despite being a hardy work vehicle, the Triton boasts a stylish interior and sophisticated electronic controls. The Multi-Function Display System includes a tripmeter, speedometer, tachometre and fuel and water temperature gauges.

- CD player
Just because you're working doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy the ride - with a 6-speaker, in-dash, MP3-compatible premium stereo system.

- Leather steering-wheel and gear knob
A luxurious, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob add another element of refinement and style to the interior of the Triton VR, CLX-R and GLS models.

- Power driver's seat
The Triton GLS features an 8-way power driver's seat including dual height adjustment. You have all the controls you need at your fingertips to ensure your driving position is just right.

- Power windows
Power controls throughout the vehicle add to the comfort and ease of use. Even the rear windscreen on the VR, GLX-R and GLS models is power-controlled.

- Bluetooth®
Bluetooth® technology on the GLX-R and GLS models includes an on-dash button for answering and ending calls, and audio-integration. When a call comes through, the Bluetooth® system automatically cuts the radio. Ans when a Bluetooth® compatible phone is within the vehicle, it will be automatically connected.

Safety

- Load Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV)
Load Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV) modulated the Triton's rear brake pressure - depending on vehicle load. Under light or no load conditions, it applies reduced braking pressure to the rear to prevent wheel lock up. Under heavier loads, the LSPV provides an optimal amount of braking to the rear for safer stopping distances and more control.

- Reinforced impact safety evolution (RISE)
The Mitsubishi Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) system means you and your passengers are protected by the latest energy-absorbing chassis design and technology. In the event of a collision, impact-absorbing crushable zones are designed to absorb and dissipate energy away from the passenger compartment, keeping you and yur passengers cocooned and protected.

- Side impact bars
Sturdy side impact bars accompany the Mitsubishi RISE safety system, to provide the highest possible level of structural safety.

- SRS airbags
Offering ultimate protection in the event of a frontal collison, the Triton is fitted with boh driver and front passenger SRS airbags.

- Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
With the Triton's optional Anti-Lock Braking System, (ABS), your brakes don't lock when suddenly applied. ABS helps you retain complete control - improving overall safety and manageability.

Performance

- Rear limited slip differential
Triton is fitted with a Rear Limited Slip Differential to provide superior traction in slippery conditions by transferring driving torque from a slipping wheel to those with traction. 4WD models are also available with an optional rear differential-lock for those incredibly tough situations.

- Rear Differential Lock (RDL) (Optional)
The Rear Differential Lock (RDL) is useful for negotiating low traction surfaces such as sand, mud, snow-covered or rocky surfaces or boat ramps. It locks the rear differential, which means that both rear wheels have an equal torque split, regardless of whether either wheel has traction. This ensures torque is not transferred to the wheel with the least traction, making it easy to conquer difficult terrain. The RDL option is easily engaged and disengaged - and the switch is mounted on the Triton's instrument panel.

- Turning circle
A power-assisted rack and pinion set-up means the new Triton's 11.8m kerb-to-kerb turning circle for 2WD provides exceptional manoeuvrability.

- Easy select 4WD option
The Triton's Easy Select 4WD option uses three transfer modes to deliver high-speed driving comfort and superior traction on all surfaces. When added traction is required, the free-wheeling front differential enables you to switch from 2WD to 4WD mode on the fly (at speeds of up to 100km/h). For conquering the roughest terrain, Triton's Easy Select 4WD also offers a low-range 4WD mode.

- Diesel engine option
Featuring the latest in diesel engine technology, the 3.2L common-rail, turbo-charged diesel generates even more impressive power and torque. In fact, Triton's common rail diesel gives you the power to suit all your towing and carrying needs.

- Transmission
Whether your Triton features a petrol or turbo-charged diesel engine, you also have a choice of transmission systems. You can opt for a smooth-shifting, 5-speed manual gearbox - or a responsive, 4-speed automatic.
